I have used a work around for the time being until Adobe comes up with a solution to make Elements 20 compatible with OS Monterey. Until this issue gets fully resolved, those affected can try the workaround suggested by a user and see if it works. Meanwhile, an Adobe Community Manager, who acknowledged the issue said that the company is aware of Photoshop Elements crashing on macOS Monterey and is are currently investigating it. I’m now having to download most of my photo files from the Cloud and reinstall Elements.

They had to wipe the hard drive, clean install Mojave and drag over the user data from the backup manually. They had the same problem with the backup. I finally took the machine and TimeWindow drive to a service provider. I tried to recover the older OS (Mojave) through TimeWindow backup, but it would not complete. They told me I shouldn’t have done the upgrade. The Adobe Elements 2021 program that I use for my business would no longer open. I recently upgraded my MacPRO OS to Monterey.
